"Hi, we're here learning improv warm-ups today, and now we're going to teach you how to play Group Order. For this game you're going to want your team to find a reasonably large-sized room. The team is then going to mill about, wandering, not communicating with each other, maybe making eye contact, but you want to keep any verbal interactions to a minimum. At that point in time, you're going to have a designated caller shout out, "Arrange yourself height," or, "Arrange yourself by age," or to arrange yourself by any category that they see fit. At that point in time your players are then going to rush to stand in a straight line, after having designated one wall to be the least of which, and one wall to be the greatest of which. Your players will now stand in line so that they line up accordingly in whatever order category you choose. I know that sounds a little complicated, but I think you'll see it once; I think you'll figure it out once we run through it real quick. So first, let's assume that the caller has shouted out, birthdays, arrange by birthday. Now, since we don't know what each others' birth dates are, it makes it fun because we're going to be kind of scrambling to find our position in line. So, watch us mill about, and then I'll shout out, "Arrange yourself by birth dates," and then we'll watch the chaos ensue. All right, go! All right, birthdays, arrange yourself by birth dates. Oh, but we have the same birthday. Yeah. Oh, okay. I'll stand behind him. Nice. We'll do this. And that's, that's, that's pretty much it for that category. Once you guys have circled through different categories like arrange yourself by height, arrange yourself by weight, and then you can get into abstract concepts like, arrange yourself by the color red. Arrange yourself by, Tax bracket. Tax bracket, arrange yourself by personal hygiene. I think you'd find it's a fun game to get to know your fellow players on the team, and it just gets everyone to loosen up because you're wandering around, you're running, and you're having a good time. So, that's how you play Group Order."
