"KEVIN LINDENMUTH: This is Kevin Lindenmuth for Expert Village talking about distribution for you independent film or documentary. Also, if sending it out, the technical quality, technical quality, you got to make sure there's not glitches in it. You got to make sure it's well edited. I mean, it's kind of a no brainer but you know if you send something out that looks like a home movie, mostly likely not going to get distributed. Because there's just a lot of competition nowadays 'cause with all these three chip digital cameras that are relatively inexpensive. Everybody's making movies. Everybody's making films. So, you know, it's really increased the quality standard. I mean these cameras that we have now, that you get for $2000 or $3000 or $4000 or $5000 are comparable to 20 years ago with the broadcast cameras that are worth like a $100,000. So, you know, the program has to look as good and sound as good, especially with HD now, consumer HD cameras. Just keep in mind that you're competing with other people so you want it to be as good technically as possible. I mean, good image, good sound, make sure it's well lit. If you don't know how to do these things, you know, find somebody who does. But just make sure that your program is as good as it could possibly be before you send it out."
