An advanced jazz barrel turn is basically back, front. It helps if you start low because then you can propelle and jump it. So it’s back, front, down. In real time, it’s…The arms help, obviously. So you have right arm as you go left arm. The arms are the momentum and of course, springing up. There are several dance studios in you area that would be very happy to have you join their group classes. There are lots of choreographers who specialize in different types of jazz dancing. Just try them all out, see which one you like the best, and stick with that for a couple of years. You’ll be grooving just fine. "
