"Hi I'm Kari Wethington for expertvillage.com. Today we are doing Writer's Guide Self Editing Basics. Let's talk about spelling. This is an important first step in any editing process whether it is a business letter or an email. You should always check what you've written to make sure you have everything spelled correctly. So start with your computer's built in spell check. It will usually offer suggestions and make sure you read through the suggestions carefully to make sure you're picking the right one. It's important to make sure you do that first read through with the spell check but it is not your final step. After you've used your computers built in spell check it is important to reread your own writing. Spell check would probably find this when you read through with your computer but it's always good to reread yourself and clearly that is misspelled it should be an instead of a second e. So someone that you work with professionally, they are definitely going to notice that. The second sentence says, Next year we expect to see even more demand, but also more intense competition. People sometimes get confused with the, that I o sound and they might think it is I A. But this is clearly a misspelling and it should be ion."
