"Michael Seto here. We're going to be talking about jewelry photography today and how you use a specialized lens to get very good photos of jewelry. If we look down at this table here, we're going to, there's a number of different lenses that you can use. Macro lenses, regular kit lenses. What I'm going to talk about today is this lens here. This is a tilt shift or perspective control lens. It's often used for architecture, landscapes, but it's also good for macro or close up including jewelry photography. What's great about this lens here is it actually, it's called a tilt shift because if you look at this then lens itself, you, by turning this little knob, will tilt up and down and the key for shooting a good jewelry photograph is trying to get everything you want in focus, in focus and that's why you get these specialized lenses. A tilt or shift lens allows you to change the plane of focus to get the jewelry exactly you want it, get a good image for your client and that's very important in jewelry photography. So the tilt shift lens is a specialized lens for jewelry photography. Go ahead and pick one of those up if you're doing a lot of work."
