"Hi! My name is Peggy Robertson and on behalf of Expert Village.com, in this clip we are going to talk about shapes, specifically the circle. Now everything is made up of a shape. Tires are circles, tomatoes are circles, grapes are circles, all sorts of things and lots of people their faces are circle. So basically if you can draw a circle, you can draw a lot of things but most people can’t draw a circle. So I am going to show a simple way to practice a circle to get your hand to follow the lines that your eyes follow. We will do it easy; we will take a glass and we are going to trace the glass on the paper, that is a simple circle and it is close enough to being perfectly round, that you can practice with it. Then you will take your pencil and you will follow that line around and around, you will go off the line, you will go all over the place but eventually if you do this enough, your hand and your arm will learn how to draw a circle just by doing it over and over and over again and you may think this is easy because you are following a line. Well then pick your hand up and go next to that circle and see how round your circles all of a sudden don’t become and you just practice over and over and over again and eventually it will get easier. You can do smaller circles by using a smaller glass and tracing it around and then continuing practicing around and around and around, focusing your eyes. Now if you want, you can change the shape of your circle into lips and lips are wider than it is higher in a circle and that is used in other types of drawings too."
