"JAYNE ENTWISTLE: So we just learned yes-and, one of the most important rules in improv. Now, we're going to learn another game called, "What are you doing?" Again, this is building on the idea of giving an offer. An offer in improv like Andrew explained... ANDREW STUBBLEFIELD: is just anything that you first say, the other person, then, has to accept that and expand on it. JAYNE ENTWISTLE: So "What are you doing?" is one person starts an action, like brushing your teeth. And then, I would say, "Andrew, what are you doing?" Now, Andrew has to say whatever, anything but brushing his teeth. ANDREW STUBBLEFIELD: "I'm flying a kite!" JAYNE ENTWISTLE: So now, I have to pretend to fly a kite. ANDREW STUBBLEFIELD: Then, I would ask her, "Jayne, what are you doing?" JAYNE ENTWISTLE: I'm stomping out bugs. Andrew what are you doing? ANDREW STUBBLEFIELD: Building a cat. JAYNE ENTWISTLE: Meow. ANDREW STUBBLEFIELD: And so forth, the game will go back and forth. And again, like I said you know, building a cat, it could be completely obscure, or it can be something really simple. But the idea is to have fun and to do something that you're not doing."
