"Once you have your saturated book up on end you are going to notice of course that there is space in between the covers and the wet pages. In this space we are going to put some paper towels, this will allow even more water to be absorbed, you just want to kind of slide that in there and you want it to go all the way down to the bottom and you probably should have a little bit hanging over the edge and the top. This isn't for any particular reason other than it gives you something to hold on to and will allow for a little bit more absorption. Once the pages start to become a little bit drier then you can have more paper towels in there but for now because of the fragility of the pages that are soaking wet, the only place that you can really have any paper towels is on edges where it is easy to slip it in there. So you want to have the pages in here and of course once they start getting wet you are going to take them out and replace them with dry pages."
