"Hi. I'm Emily Larew and for all you fun loving tappers out there we are now going to learn a fun step called the paradiddle, okay. So let's turn around. What you're going to do is you're going to dig your right heel into the floor right in front of you. You have a heel, brush, step, heel. Good. Try it again. Heel, brush, step, heel. All the tapping happens on one foot at a time. Whew! So now we can do our left foot. Heel, brush, step, heel. One, two, three, four. So four sounds on your paradiddle. One, two, three, four. So in order to get those nice clean sounds we need to be sure to pick up our feet after every tap step okay. So heel, brush, step, heel. Heel, brush, step, heel. I'm using my plie, or bending my knees, whenever I dig my heel into the floor. Down. Down. Down. Heel, brush, step, heel, and you can jump into them. Good! Those are paradiddles for our fun loving tap dancers."
