"Hi, I'm Emily Larew. We're taking a look at tap basics and we're going to look at a shuffle, ball, change. So we are facing the front, we're going to keep our knees bent, we have shuffle, which we've already done, shuffle, now I want you to put your foot behind you, ball, on the ball of your foot, change. Now make sure, you might want to keep your heel down at first just to get your balance and get steady as you're tapping, so we can take it shuffle, ball, step. Make sure, again, that you're confident with your steps, so make them loud, but make sure that the shuffle just happens from the knee down. But eventually I really do want you to get off your heels, because the more you get off your heels and practice that way, the more advanced that you're going to become, and you'll be more comfortable with your weight and transferring that. So we have shuffle, ball, change, shuffle, ball, change, shuffle, ball, change, step, to the left. Here we go, shuffle, ball, change, to the left. So make sure that you're pulling up and you want to keep your weight right over those balls of your feet. Let's try it a little bit quicker on the right, 5, 6, 7, 8, shuffle, ball, change. Good! That was awesome, that was shuffle, ball, changes for your tap basics."
