"Hi, my names Allisa with Expert Village and today I'm gonna show you how to crochet a beanie. Now, I'm going to show you how you can finish your beanie with a little pom on the top. It's a pretty simple way to kind of jazz up your beanie a little bit. So what you're going to do is start cutting pieces about 5 or 6 inches long and the number of pieces you cut completely depends on how thick you want your little pompom. So, I'm going to cut maybe about ten pieces here just to show you. And they don't have to be all the same length either, they can alternate, you can always trim it at the end. So, get a big bunch of these and what you wanna do is divided your stack in half so you have two stacks. And what we're gonna do is connect one piece of one pile of threads in one direction and attach the other one in the other direction, so you get a nice pompom. So what you wanna do is put these together in one group, get your beanie and at the very top of your beanie you’re gonna want to use your hook. And in the very center go through a couple of stitches. You just need to push your hook through a little bit and hook all of your pieces in the center on to your hook and pull it through. You might get a little bit of pressure here, okay. And then once you have a loop you're gonna grab the rest of your pieces and pull it through. This might be a little difficult depending on how many pieces you have. There we go. So now you have a nice knot. So there's one knot right there. Then we'll get our other pile of stitches and we'll flip our beanie around and we'll do the same thing with these. You’re going to want to get your hook and put it through a few stitches. Put all of your pieces on to the hook, pull it through, and then hook the tail ends of all of your pieces of yawn. And then pull it through, just like that. Pull it all the way through. Now you can continue doing this if you want a bigger pom or just leave it like this. You can trim the ends. And that's one way you can add a little pompom to the top of your beanie."
