"Hello DJ Shy here with Expert Village and I'm going to explain to you about the need of a microphone. Now a microphones vary. You can have wireless or one's that come with wire. Now if they come with wire there is a input on your mixture for the microphone and it happens to be right here. Now the microphone has it's own volume and the mic, you can change the levels of the microphone on your mixture right, so you just follow the directions. Microphone off, microphone on, it turns it on and to talk over your song, you just switch it over to talk over so you can talk over your song. Now microphones are useful for making announcements, giving birthday shout outs, your communicating with your audience through the microphone. If you do not have a microphone another trick to communicate to the audience if you forgot your headphone or you just don't have one is to use your headphone. Now the headphone has a quarter inch jack which you can plug in to the microphone and a trick is that you could make announcements through the head piece that's connected to the side. So this is connected to this side of the headphone. So you can talk in here and use it as a microphone if you forgot yours. I've done it a couple of times. So I would know."
