Juggling Patterns

" What's up? This is DJ Colione on behalf of expertvillage.com and in this clip I am going to show you some advanced juggling patterns and techniques. So we have the basic one where we are just looping stuff back and forth. That is the most, that is the simplest stuff. So for more advanced techniques, what we want to do, the easiest thing to do is to sort of speed up our loop duration. So we can start with 4 beats and then jump to 2 so what that would sound like is starting with 4, so we are going 4, 3, 4, 2, 3, 4 and now we can go to 2. Another thing we can do is after you sort of loop faster what you an do is try and take another section of the record to get an extra sound or extra beep into your little loop. So we are going to do that and we are going to start with a 4 beat loop, going to go to a 2 and going to use a fader and cut back to the other record to get an extra little sound in there. So lets see how that goes. So from that you will see that the pattern sounds a little different. We are still on the 2 counts of a loop but you add a little something into it. So doing that you can take your snares, you can hit shares, you can hit other sounds and you can do a whole bunch of different sort of patterns. "
