"Hey everyone. I'm DJ Shy and this is Expert Village. I'm going to show you how to mix using an effect. Effects are good because you can manipulate the beats and still maintain the energy in the your club or party. We have two songs here. One song is a hundred fifty beats per minute and the other song is seventy-two. You must be thinking how can I mix those two songs together and the answer to that is: use an effect. I'm going to show you an example. Here's the song that we're going to go from one hundred fifty beats per minute and it's going to sound like this. I'm queuing up the next song so that it will be ready at the beginning. We're going to use the echo effect. The echo effect is going to apply to turntable one. I'm going to do it right now. Then you mix in the other song. That is an example of how you would use and effect to manipulate beats on songs that are too fast to transition to something that's really slow."
