"Okay, just been heating up the ear, a little bit more the area that will be the ear to help speed up the carving and to let the magic of the melting wax do some of the work for us. Notice that I was talking about how the ear has to go from a flush to an end. Just using heat I've been able to create that illusion here as it smoothly gradates in toward the head. We'll refine that a little bit, this way. Help to find the edge of that ear and that's looking pretty good right there. And then we'll start the process of refining the back edge of the ear by cutting into it and cutting away what we don't need."
