"The next thing we want to look at is whether or not the bridge attachment is firm. Whether it's fit and fitted and sitting flush against the body. This particular one has no problems. It's in good shape. It's sitting properly in the two little slots that allow it to move and Aits position is very good. On other instruments, you just want to make sure, that the bridge is positioned and really sitting as flat as possible and it doesn't hurt just to make sure that the screws are completely tight that hold the bridge in position. Pretty simple, but it's an easy thing for a bridge to start to pull up. There's a 180 pounds of pressure pulling on that bridge constantly. After a while, sometimes the wood will soften and that bridge will try to pull up. So you just want to make sure it's sitting properly. In order to make sure that that's happening, you might have to remove the strings to get access to these lower screws."
