"We're cartooning today. We've drawn a face, age, emotion, body language, and now we're going to get to the action, actual movement. Using the stick figure that I've drawn before, we're going to draw a basic guy running. As you can see, his arms are pumped up in the air, his leg is running like that. Let's draw a body on top of that. We've got the neck. We've got the arm pointing down. Fists. He's running as fast as he can. He's got the knee poking out. There's his foot. There's his other pant leg and his other foot. He's running. As I see, that's movement, but there's other things that we can do to convey movement. He's taking long strides, so I had these 3 lines that are kind of like wind lines or action lines. I'll add those 3 little things. You can that his legs are pumping and he's moving. If he's going really fast, we'll add some more action lines, and maybe even a little puffy cloud to show he's leaving some dust while he's running. That guy is a running fool. That's basically how you convey and draw movement in a body. "
