"On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Dan Head. And, today we're going to talk about how to self publish your own comic or graphic novel. Let me tell you that if you self publish your comic book, or even if you put it out through one of the larger create-your-own publishing houses, no one is going to promote your comic but you. You have to get out there on the internet, in the convention scene, at your local coffee bar, or your local bookstore, or wherever and sell your book. It's worth thinking about how you're going to get the word out there on the internet. We talked about web comics, and that's a good way to go. You may also choose to do internet advertising or any other number of other internet tools. And, some people, but not very many, have made a go of what's called viral marketing which is to get friends of theirs to post little blurbs about their comics in various places about the internet. But, you really, you have to think about how you're going to get the word out there because no one's going to do it for you."
