"The next thing I would like to talk about is freeze tracks now this is a nice feature that they added in logic 6, if you go under view track freeze buttons you see they pop right up in your track. Right next to your mute and solo buttons now what this does if you created a large song with lots of tracks and lots of effects and your computer can't handle it all, what this will do is it will render out a track for you so it doesn't need to do all those effects live every time you play it. So you can go to the guitar what we have 3 effects on it you hit the freeze button and the next time you hit play you can see that it's freezing the track. So what's it doing is basically bouncing it to disc and then when you play the song this will play the bounce file instead of the live effects. Now the nice feature of this is you can turn that off at any point so all you have to do is turn off the freeze and now your effects are alive again and you can make any edits that you want to. And then turn it back on if you need to and that's how you freeze track in logic pro."
