Summary: Learn how to make a Halloween scarecrow costume in this free Halloween costume video.
Halloween is a great holiday for fun and festivities the whole family can enjoy. Dating back to the 5th century BC in Celtic Ireland, Halloween originally may have developed on a day when the Celts believed that spirits could intermingle with the living, and so would dress up in ghoulish scary costumes and noisily parade around the neighborhood being destructive, in order to frighten away spirits looking for bodies to possess. Today, the Halloween holiday is more fun and playful with children and adults dressing up in scary Halloween costumes for trick or treating or a fun Halloween party. Many people carve Halloween pumpkins to make Jack-O-Lanterns, and also decorate with fake spider webs, bats, ghosts, and other ghoulish decorations.

"Hi, I'm Matt Cail and on behalf of Expert Village I am going to show you how to make a scarecrow costume. Our makeup needs for our scarecrow costume are less than a lot of other costumes you will find this Halloween season. Makeup is not the major emphasis for the costume. And we can also reduce it down to a couple of colors we are going to go over. First we need a good selection of brushes. We need to have big brushes to apply the make up on in bigger strokes. But more importantly we need to have smaller brushes for details. I also recommend having some q-tip applicators as some folks are more familiar with how those work because they have used q-tips before as apposed to painting brushes. Smaller ones in particular. Next we are going to have our various colors of makeup. And for a scarecrow there are only going to be really a couple of key colors. First off a medium and a dark brown and orange and black. These four colors are essentially going to consist of the whole palate for our scarecrow makeup. And lastly we are going to need to have a big cylindrical sponge to apply the larger areas. The larger areas of makeup onto the face."
