Summary: Learn how to play Turkey Hunt, a fun Thanksgiving Day game, in this free video with Thanksgiving activities for kids and parents.
"Hello, I'm Matt Cail and on behalf of Expert Village I'm going to tell you all about Thanksgiving games and activities. The next game is called turkey hunt. And what this is, it's a version of hide and seek but with objects. It's more seeking really than any hiding going on. What happens is the people who are going to play the game need to stay outside of the searchable space for a while, say, if you have a couple of rooms in your house where you are going to have the hunt. People hide items in those rooms. You can basically hide it wherever you are comfortable hiding it. I don't recommend it in the fine china cabinet but outside of that you can hide things wherever. And then what happens is, after all the items are hidden, then you let the contestants in and they basically try to search and find everything in as short amount of time as possible. Now a little bit of guidance on this. Like I already alluded to you that you want to make sure you are hiding things in areas where you are OK with people are searching in them. If you have, you know, jewelry or really fragile dishes, don't hide things among those, I don't recommend it. Also, for items, you know, stick to things which you know are porcelain and clean. You know it would be like magnets of turkeys, it could be a turkey centerpiece, all sorts of things. I've even seen people use pine cones. But, watch out for things that could be dirty. For goodness sake, don't hide food. Sad to say I've heard people actually using real drumsticks and sticking them down into the sofa. That's not good for your furniture, it's not good for you either."
