Adding Blankets to Baby Girl Easter Baskets

"So we're making our baby girl basket. A really nice touch for an infant girl or a baby girl is a homemade blanket. You can actually purchase the blanket, that's fine, but if you have the time and the where with all to create a special blanket for the little girl that you going to give this basket to, I happen to think the way to go. I went ahead and made this one and it's just some fabric that I picked up at the fabric store and then I went ahead and just did the back with some cotton and then I just folded the corners over and finished it. It was a very simple project to make and it's going to add a really nice and personal touch to this basket. So go ahead and take your blanket and you can fold it to whatever size is going to fit inside of your basket. I want the Bible to be my centerpiece since Easter is obviously about Christ and the Resurrection, so I really want this to be the main focus. But the blanket is the big piece, so you have to take into consideration how to balance things in the basket so that they look good as well as so that the basket doesn't topple over. So go ahead and fold your blanket depending on what size it is and then you can tuck it in. I would tuck it in behind the Bible. Play around with it; you may have to move things around a few times before you get it in the exact right spot. But I think that's good and it's holding its balance really nice and that's a nice beginning. Now we just have to go ahead and fill this side. As you can see there's a little bit of an empty spot here and we're going to do the front so we'll see you on the next clip."
