"Hi, I'm Jennifer Cail and on behalf of Expert Village I'm going to show you the proper way to baste a turkey and how to make delicious gravy for your traditional Thanksgiving Day meal. Our turkey has been taking with its rack out of the roasting pan so now we are going to make some gravy. Now the first thing you're going to notice is that you have the roasting pan directly on the burners, this can't be done with every roasting pan so you want to make sure that the one that you have is safe for stove top use. As well as for the oven, so first we are going to turn on the burners, we're going to need both of them and we just want them on a medium. So we can heat up the liquid inside while making our gravy cause we want to get it pretty hot. Cause we are going to cook it down a little bit so you want to get it to a little of a boil and you can probably see that there is not a whole lot of liquid in there. This is rather a small turkey so in order to have enough liquid to make gravy we are going to have to add some of our own. I'm going to use chicken broth because this is the easiest way to add some liquid without diluting the flavor. "
