"Around 1987, Hallmark started the Hallmark Membership Club, and when you join that club, you got exclusive deals, through them, on ornaments that you wouldn't be able to get into a store. You usually got a couple of them free, and then you could order ones, like these, that are members only. So, that means that you could only buy them if you belong to the membership club. Recently, you could find them on Ebay, that's people that want to give up their ornaments, but for many years, this is the only way that you could get these special ornaments. This ornament, here, is a premiere ornament. It was only offered on the one day that the Hallmark ornaments were premiered. They did this for a few years so that if you showed up to buy on the very first day, you got a chance to buy that ornament. They also have Expos for Hallmark ornaments, and that's usually for the dealerships, and they get Expo ornaments, which tells which year those ornaments were released."
