Hi! My name is Nate McCullough. In this clip we are going to talk about one of the steps involved in replacing the wheel stud. On this particular vehicle, the next thing we have to do is to remove this parking brake cable assembly. This may or may not be necessary on your vehicle; hopefully not so less steps the better. It has a small retaining clip here in the back. It's just a simple matter of inserting a flat blade screwdriver and popping it off. There's the retaining clip for you. Once you have the clip out and go ahead and throw in my magnetic tray here, you need to actuate the parking brake lever in order to get enough slack in the cable to slip it out of its hook. The component we are working on is this piece right here and I need to get some slack in there so I can slip it out through this release area there. What we are going to do like I said is actuate the lever, get some slack back in the back of it and pop that out. That is removal of the parking brake cable. Like I said it may or may not be necessary on your vehicle.
