In this clip, we will continue with step 9 of our procedure for replacing disc brake pads. If you take a look at your caliper housing, you will notice that there are two brake pads. There is an outboard brake pad and an inboard brake pad. On this model, to remove the inboard brake pad, you tip it forward and you wiggle it around a little bit and it will pull out. With outboard brake pad on this model, there are little metal pins that we’ll need to hit with a hammer to help free the brake pad. Now you want to make sure that you don’t hit too hard so that you don’t damage the caliper or the brake pad or the brake line.
