How to Coil Electric Cords or Cables

All the pro's in the TV industry insist that cables be coiled properly. No kinks. No knots. Just loose coils that fall gracefully to the floor when unwound. Good coiling saves lots of time when you are ready to hook your equipment together. This video gives you all the steps!

Step1
Open your right hand, palm facing up and hold one end of your cord.
Step2
Measure out about 18 inches - 2 ft of cord and hold in your left hand, palm down. With your first finger and thumb, roll the cord slightly towards you as you bring your hands together forming a loop.
Step3
Measure out another 18 inches - 2 ft of cord with your left hand. Turn your palm up, grab cord and bring hands together by twisting your left hand in a clockwise motion. This is the tricky part.
Step4
Repeat process starting at Step 2 (left hand palm down). Alternate with Step 3 until the cord is coiled.
