"I’m Lee. I have a degree in architecture and about ten years construction experience, and today we’re installing a new dishwasher in your kitchen remodel. This connector on the end of the drain, the elbowed one can either go to the dishwasher itself or to the inside drain. I usually put it to the inside drain under the sink. Now this is too large for this one. What you do, it has a spot where you can trim it down to the next size. And you just take a box cutter and trim it down. Sometimes they have two different sizes, sometimes they have three different sizes. I think three might be the limit. Not quite sure, though. They do make them with several trim spots. A clamp should come with it. If it doesn’t, you can just go get you some little wire clamps. You put it around. And then slide it on, and tighten down the clamp. Might be hard to get the clamp started, but that is how you would connect the drain while installing your new dishwasher. "
