You can always visit my website at We are going to talk about salsa footwork and how all the Latin dances are designed. In this clip, we are going to walk backwards. Everybody walk backwards with me. When you walk backwards, your knee bends first and then you straighten it. What we are trying to do is an all the Latin dance and we are trying to walk forward and backwards as if we were walking backwards and also sideways. So wherever we go we are walking, bending our knee first and then scraping kind of like you are climbing stairs. Everywhere you go we got one knee bent and one knee straight. So it causes your foot when you are steeping with the ball of your foot and then your heel. So you roll to your foot, most of your weight going to the front of your foot but you are just going to let the ball of your foot lead and then your heel lowers to the floor and that is what is going to create that Latin look, when you bent and when you straight.
