Hi! My name is John Armstrong. I’m a professional guitar instructor, and today I’ll be discussing some advanced classical guitar pieces. Next, I’d like to discuss measures 18, 19, and 20 of etude number 7 by Mateo Carcassi. Measure 18, exactly the same as measure 16 was. Measure 19, exactly the same as measure 17 was. But here’s where it changes. Measure 20, we have a G sharp. Still pedal tuning back to the E. Actually, right there it doesn’t. F, E, E sharp, E, D, C, D. Okay, which will take us back to the beginning phrase, which is measure 21, reintroduces the theme. Here we go, measures 18, 19, and 20. I’ll do it again. And one more time.
