Good day everyone, I'm Joshua Clement, and this is how to repair a scratch on a stained kitchen cabinet. A lot of times people think that when they have a scratch on a cabinet they have to sand it down, restain it or varnish it, and then polyurethane it, but there's a couple ways to get around that. For this job I'm going to be using a stain that's very similar to the color of my cabinets. I'll also be using a sponge because I don't want too much stain on my cabinet. The point is to fill in the scratch without messing up the finish of the entire cabinet. We just want to get the eye sore off of there. So we're gonna take our sponge, put the corner of it right into the stain, just get a little bit on there, and then you're gonna put it on the scratch, and then you're gonna wipe off the excess. So we want to just dab it on there, work it into the grain a little bit, and then we're gonna wipe off all the excess so the only thing that has the stain left on it is the scratch. If it's not a deep scratch, if it's just a surface scratch where it's messed up the finish a little bit, this is definitely the way to try to fix that because it's not gonna mess with any of the finish on the rest of the cabinet door. Thank you all for watching and good luck with this project.
