Hi, my name is Teresa Ward, and one of the easiest tips I will be talking about is how to clean a baking stone. Stones are natural items that will retain any and all flavors that are put on them, so you don't wanna use chemicals or anything with a scent or flavor, on that stone, 'cause that stone will absorb with that when cleaning. That is not the type of seasoning you want in your food. Here's what you will need: warm water, a scraper, a sponge and a self-cleaning oven. First, the most important rule, with baking stones, is never to use any soap of any kind on them, very important. And, this is important to know because baking stones absorb flavor, and even though I love to clean, I do not like the taste of soap. If you have burnt on food, just place the stone in the oven on the shorter self-cleaning cycle, then, using the scraper, in plain warm water, for about 25 minutes, while using your sponge, and gently wiping it down. Last, let your stone dry out completely before using it again. Thanks for hanging out with Long Island's home cleaning experts, Teresa's Family Cleaning. We hope these tips help to keep your home clean, and remember, our reputation is spotless!
