Hi, my name is DeeDee Black, and today I'm going to show you how to sew on a wig. The reason that you would sew your wig on is in case you're very active and you want it to stay secure. You don't want the wind to blow it off, you don't want your friend to knock it off; you want to make sure it stays on no matter what you do so you can dance, you can swim, you can be in a stage play and your wig will not come off. The first thing you want to start with is a small braid, a cornrow braid in the front where you're going to attach the wig. Then, you're going to put the hair in a wig cap. Secure it in and make sure it's completely flat. Once wig is securely on, you raise the front where the braid is and have your needle and thread where you're going to sew. You will go through the braid and go through the edge of the wig cap. You repeat this step until you get to the end of the braid. Once you're at the end of the braid, you will cut the thread long enough so you can tie a knot. At the end of tying a knot, you will cut any loose thread that is still hanging. Once hair is sewn in, you will now brush down the hair completely around and making sure that the hair look smooth and neat. After this is done, you are ready to go out on the town.
