Hello, my name is Teanna Woods, and today we'll be talking about how to meter correctly with your digital camera. It's really important to meter, because you want to make sure that your exposure for your camera matches what your camera light meter says, so your images will come out looking perfect. So if I'm gonna take a picture of this dog, it's really important that I check my ISO first on my light meter. I bring the light meter closer to the dog, I hit the button once my ISO is set that matches my digital camera. I'll include that and look at my digital camera reading and make sure that both of them match. So now that I have both of those set up, I'll move forward with shooting. After that, you should double check just to make sure that your exposure is correct. So here's an example of using your meter the correct way. Your exposure comes out exactly how it should look. Here's another example of not really using your meter the right way, your exposures are off. So you really want to make sure that you have everything together, and you can see the amazing difference from both of these images.
