Hi, my name is Gene Jimenez, and this is how to paint a wall mural using a photo. Recently I got back from Japan. While I was there, I took a photo of a baby Macaque or Japanese Snow Monkey. The first thing I want to do is create a picture grade for my photo. I've made a copy of it and have gridded out a 2 inch by 2 inch square grid. I'm going to make an 18 by 18 inch square with 6 inch squares to build a 3 by 3 square grid, knowing I have a 2 by 2 inch square, I can actually upscale that dimension to any size I want. Using my monkey grid as reference, I'm going to copy in each line drawn to each square except three times bigger. When it comes to painting, add your own style and make sure to have fun doing it.
