Hi, I'm Masa Kitani, and I'm here today to teach you how to sew Lycra without puckered seams. Now I'm sure some of you people out there would like to know how to do that for bathing suits or tank tops or even leggings. Here I have some beautiful foiled Lycra, it's very stretchy. Number one rule of Lycra, pin, pinning it is extremely extremely important. Here, I just put a couple pins just to anchor it down. Next, you need a special presser foot. Here I have a rolling presser foot. It actually rolls, there's wheels underneath it that roll under or over the fabric to keep it flat instead of when you have a normal presser foot it will actually push it a little bit up to make that puckering too. Also, it's imperative to use a zigzag stitch. I would say use it on your number four of your zigzag and keep it at your setting 4. First you have to zigzag your seam. Alright, now once you are done with your zigzag seam, wherever this seam is going to show you have to put an actual straight stitch afterwards right next to your zigzag seam. So let me fix my machine here and voila.
