Hi, I'm Dan Reinecke with Unknown Media, and today I'm going to show you how to recondition a photo lens. First, what you'll want to do is use a hand blower to remove any loose dust particles that may be on the lens. Don't use something like canned air because it can actually leave behind a residue that will result in more cleaning. Breathe on the lens to fog it up. This will make smudges and imperfections a lot more apparent. Gently wipe away with a micro fiber cloth. Don't rub too hard because you will risk scratching the lens. From there, drop some lens cleaning solution on your cleansing cloth. Make sure not to drop it directly onto the lens because you will risk getting fluid inside your lens. Now wipe down the saturated lens in a circular motion. Start in the middle working your way to the outside. Breathe on the lens to check to see if there are any more imperfections. If so, repeat the process of applying the cleaning solution to the cloth and wiping it down. Once you can't find any more imperfections, you are ready to shoot with your newly refurbished lens. I'm Dan Reinecke. Take your best shot.
