Hi, I'm Dan Reinecke with Unknown Media, and today I'm going to share with you a few tips for photography of city lights at night. Now there are several different things that you can do with lights at night to create some truly amazing images. The one thing that will make it difficult to take photos at night is obviously going to be the darkness or getting enough light in your camera to expose the photos. Now what you can do is set your camera to the bulb setting for the long exposure. What this is going to do is keep the image exposing for as long as you need it to. It will cause things like headlights to pass by the frame and look like blurred light passing through the photo. The cool thing about this is that you can capture a street light within the photo as well and it will be a sharp glowing light. If there's a wall that was dark, the longer you hold down the exposure, the brighter it will become. So if you take your time and don't forget your tripod, you'll be taking some great photos of city lights at night in no time. I'm Dan Reinecke, take your best shot.
