Hi, my name is Dan Reinecke with Unknown Media, and today I'm going to show you how to remove noise from a digital image. For this we are going to hop into our photo editing software. Let's go ahead and get to it. Alright so this is the image that I've chosen to reduce the noise from. Let's go ahead and zoom in here nice and tight on the eye so you can see the digital noise that's here. Now what we're going to go ahead and do, we're going to go to the filter tab and down to noise and select reduce noise. So as you can see here we have the same eye. Now what we're going to do is increase the strength while at the same time reducing the detail. Now this is going to kind of smooth everything together and it may kind of come off as looking a little bit blurry but at the same time, it will reduce that noise. So you can do the same thing, reduce the color noise and even dip the sharpened details down just a bit. Now as you can see here once we toggle on the preview, you can see how much is taken away. So once you select okay, the filter will be applied and your photo will be less noisy. And that's how you remove noise from a digital image. I'm Dan Reinecke, take your best shot.
