Hi, I'm Dan Reinecke with Unknown Media, and today I'm going to tell you what kind of backdrop to use for photographing clothing. Now this opinion may vary from one photographer to the next but I always prefer to shoot clothing on a white backdrop. You aren't going to want to use a backdrop that has any kind of busy patterns or anything because it would be too distracting and it will take away from the look of the clothes. You want to focus to go right to the clothes themselves. A gray backdrop isn't a bad option, but my personal preference is to shoot clothes on a white backdrop. I feel the white adds to the overall illumination of the photo as well as the appearance of the clothes. So when it comes to shooting clothes on a backdrop I suggest you go with a white one. I'm Dan Reinecke, take your best shot.
