Hi, I'm Dan Reinecke with Unknown Media, and today I'm going to show you how to blur the background in fast pictures. This is in theory a pretty simple thing to do but it will take a little bit of practice and adjusting to get things just right. Set your camera to the shutter priority setting. This will cause your camera to be in a semi automatic mode. You will be able to manually set your shutter speed but the rest of your camera settings will be automatic. When your subject is moving, pan your camera on a tripod with them as they move, keeping them in the center. As they go by, press the shutter button. What this will do is cause them to be in sharp focus while blurring out the background. Review your photo and depending on how blurry you want the background you can adjust the shutter to be faster or slower. This will take a bit of practice, but you will be sure to reach your desired effect in no time. I'm Dan Reinecke, take your best shot.
