Hi, my name is Abbeth. I am an art teacher living in Portland, Maine, and I'm going to show you how to make a DNA molecule using pipe cleaners. So I have chosen to do this with red and all you need for this is two pipe cleaners which you are going to twist around each other. You're going to start at one end and go down about an inch, and you're going to actually leave about an inch between the two pipe cleaners and you're going to just twist around three times. Then you're going to go down about an inch again, still leaving an inch and you're going to do the same thing, twist around three times and you're going to kind of bend the pipe cleaners out like that, making sort of a little rounded shape. And you're going to keep doing this all the way down the pipe cleaners. And after you're done with that, you probably want to go back and really just make sure that all those little sections are evenly rounded and then, you can alternate every other one and just do half of an untwist and that will give it that three dimensional quality. My name is Abbeth, and I just showed you how to make a DNA molecule using pipe cleaners.
