Hi, I'm Todd Languell, The Flying Furniture Guy from R & D Wood Shop in Scotia, New York. Today, I'm going to show you how to restore laminate furniture. Okay, you see this has got some damage on it, the condition of the laminate is pretty worn out. I'm going to use a dark paste wax with standard steel wool and you can see the paste wax. You're going to just go ahead and get a lot of it on there and you can use small circular motions or you can use, with the so the speak grain because Formica doesn't have grain, but going in the one direction. I'm not going to do all of this because I want to show you the contrast between what's been done and what hasn't been done. So you apply it very liberally with your steel wool, putting it on there, put it on real good, heavy and thick, rubbing the areas that you think need extra attention. Once you got it on there, you're going to then go ahead and take a buffing wheel or a car buffing wheel for polish, a simple polish, and you're going to polish it. Okay and you can see the difference in the contrast of the sheen and then you just take a rag and give it a little bit of a buff. You can go ahead and repeat the process, if it doesn't work the first time. And I'm Todd Languell, The Flying Furniture Guy from R & D Wood Shop. And this is how to restore laminate furniture.
