Hi, my name is Coryanne Ettiene, and today I'm going to be showing you how to make beautiful Christmas tree ornaments, using Popsicle sticks. Do you remember those days growing up, where you would save all the Popsicle sticks and then paint them and then make them in to beautiful Christmas decorations? Well, I'm going to be showing you to put a modern twist on them, using a little bit of Mod Podge and some paint. I'm starting with three already painted Popsicle sticks, I've use green acrylic paint to paint them and allow them to dry over night. The first step you want to do is take a little bit of crafting glue on the underside of the stick, to glue them together. This is a great activity with children, in fact all of last night, the children and I sat around and made beautiful Christmas decorations using Popsicle sticks. And the beauty with this little creative, is that you can make them as easy or as difficult as you want. Once you have the Christmas tree triangle in place allow the glue to dry and then paint with any decorative element that you want and aitch with a ribbon, but if you're looking for something a little bit more challenging or tricky for the older children in your life, here's something that we did with the children. So, last night my son Sawyer is 6 years old and he painted this standard Popsicle Christmas tree with a little bit of paint and I helped him write the year and his name on it, I'm going to give it a little bit of modern twist, with his permission of course, by using a piece of decorative paper and some sparely Mod Podge. Take the Mod Podge and this is what I love, it has a lovely iridescent look to it, just put a little dab will do you, just on the top and if you put too much on you can always rip it off, cover your paper with the Mod Podge and the beauty with it, is that it also has a adhesive element, which means that you stick your Popsicle triangle right on top. Position your triangle Popsicle stick right over the top and then set down, allow that to dry for a couple of hours and then what you have is a beautiful Christmas tree ornament, that you'll remember year after year. My name is Coryanne Ettiene and here's wishing you a beautiful holiday season.
