Hi, my name is Jessica Delfino. I'm a musician in New York City, and I also teach guitar and ukelele, not at the same time. I am going to talk to you today about how to decorate a guitar pick and customize it in your own way. Before I do that I just would like to say if you have any questions about what I do you can look at, that's Okay so today I've got a pick here and I've got a sticker and this sticker is a question mark. So we want to make sure that the question mark is going to fit on the pick. So if you have a pair of scissors, you might just want to trim it up and really make sure that it's going to fit perfectly on the pick because if it doesn't, then little pieces of paper are going to get in the way as you are trying to rock and I don't know if you guys know this or not but you don't need anything distracting you from totally rocking. That's how I feel anyway. so I'm just going to go ahead with my scissors and just really trim up this question mark so it really fits on the pick. As you can see, a guitar pick is a very small space, it's got a very small area here to fill so you don't have a lot of room. Now if you don't have a sticker you can also use something like a Sharpie or you can use nail polish. I love painting with nail polish because it usually stays on for a long time. You can also use enamel or acrylic paint or what have you, spray paint, bleach, why not, give it a try, see what happens. Another thing you can do is you can also customize picks. There are a lot of websites now where you can really get pretty much anything you want on your pick. You can get a picture, you can get your initials, you can get your band name and it's really not that expensive. Why customize a pick? There's a few different reasons. Now everyone knows this is my pick so if you are rocking in like band practice or something and you are like wait a minute, we both have yellow picks, now you know this is your pick, the one with the question mark. Also people love to get picks at shows and concerts and stuff like that. Don't you remember being like ten or whatever and being like throw me a pick and then they threw you a pick and you still have it. It's in like your little box on your dresser and you are totally psyched. I have one from like Metallica, pretty awesome. So now as you can see, my pick is customized and I'm ready to rock with my new customized pick. So let's see if it sounds any different. Oh my gosh, that sounds so great, it sounds a million times better then when it was just a regular old yellow pick. So have lots of fun customizing your pick. Thanks for watching. Lots of luck to you, bye.
