Hi, I'm Bob Prior and I'm an Illustrator and a Director. And I'm here to show you how to color like a comic artist. So, I've already colored in some of the background and I've taken a lasso tool and I've lassoed her jeans right here. So, what I'm going to do is in that, I'm going to press the paint bucket tool and since they're jeans, we're going to make them blue. Now, you'll notice that on the blue is not see-through. So, what you do is you're going to multiply and now you can see the blue all the way through. You can see all your black line works so you don't lose any of that. Now, on the shading on the, so, to get the darker part, to get the darker shading, I'm going to the color, I'm just going to pick a slightly darker hue of the color. I'm going to a soft edge brush and I'm just going to hit the very bottom. Make the brush a little bit smaller, so just like that. Now, if there's a highlight, you do just the exact same by putting a highlight on. So, for time sake, I'm going to go ahead and put in the jeans. And the same goes as you're doing all of it. So, if you're going to do, I'll turn on all the layers, then you've got an entire painted section and these are all done the exact same way. Now, there's one little trick about painting like a comic artist. Let's say if you want instead of a smooth gradation, you would like something that is more graphic or more lined. And here's how I got that. So, going to the jeans part again, I click on the jeans layer and I very simply go to the filter, go to artistic, go to cut out and it'll give you a graphic break down so you can have it either line work or you can have it shaded. So, that's how you color like a comic artist. And I just want to let you guys know that I'm getting ready to direct my first film called No Turning Back where we'll start showing this October and you'll get to see it next year. Thanks.
