Hi I'm Dan Reinecke with Unknown Media. Today I'm going to show you how film rolls work. Now this here is a film roll and this here, the number 24, that's going to be how many exposures you have and now what that means is basically how many pictures you can take. So, you have your film camera and each one is going to be a little bit different. This one isn't an automatic loader, you actually have to do it yourself. So what you're going to do is pull this up and the back comes out. So with that, this right here is basically the brains of your camera. You take your film roll and you're going to put it in your camera. Now when you have an unexposed film roll there's going to be a film tab that you go ahead and you pull out and you're going to put it right in through here and what that is going to do, it has some teeth that will actually pull the film along the film plane which is this right here. Now the film plane opens up when the film is actually, when the shutter button is actually pressed. So as you can see, now what that does it actually allows light to pass through the lens directly onto the film itself. It actually will burn the image into the film and create a negative and now with that negative that is then how you get your film processed and how you create the pictures. I'm Dan Reinecke, take your best shot.
