I'm Emily Loftiss. I'm a former Radio City Rockette and professional dancer here in New York City. We have a really fun question today, what is a great 80s mix for a party. I'm the queen of dance parties so let me give you a list that you cannot go wrong with to keep the party going all night. First off you've got to start with Michael Jackson, a little "Thriller", a little "Beat It", a little "Billie Jean", can't go wrong with Madonna, let's do "Get into the groove, boy you've got to prove your love to me". And then, want an epic song if we go "I want Candy", oh gosh everyone's going to get off the couch for that one. And then, how about, "Walk Like an Egyptian," and then everyone distinctly looks so cool when we do that. I don't know if we look cool or not. Of course, "Push It" by Salt and Pepper. That used to be a great skating song back in the day, you remember the rollerskating song. Then I think we should go into Diana Ross, "Upside Down", "Upside down, boy you turn me" and then we have to end with an epic ballad which is "Total Eclipse of the Heart". I'm not going to sing that for you right now but I feel like you can't go wrong with this party mix. If you have any other questions, please check me out at and check out my blog, Loftiss Says.
