Hi, my name is Abbeth, and I'm going to teach you about acrylic palette painting. So to set up your palette, all you need is a tube of red, a tube of yellow, a tube of blue. Those are the three primary colors, and a tube of black and a tube of white. And you're going to set up your palette as if it were a color wheel. And if you don't know about the color wheel, don't worry, I will be teaching you right now. So you're going to start up at the top of your palette by squeezing out just a little bit of red. And you're going to go down to bout four o' clock, squeeze out a little bit of yellow. Go down to the other side of your palette ad squeeze out a little bit of blue. And once you have the three primary colors out, you're going to mix the secondary colors. So take a little bit of red, set it between the red and yellow. Clean off your palette knife before you dip into the yellow, you don't want to dirty up your yellow. So take a little bit of yellow, set it on to that little bit of red, and swirl it around with your palette knife until you get a nice medium orange. Wipe off your palette knife again and might need to squeeze out a little bit more yellow, actually. Then you're going to do the same thing but you're going to do it this time with your yellow and your blue to make your next secondary color, which is green. And now you're going to do that again with your red and your blue to make purple. I need a little bit more blue. Now once you have your primary and secondary colors set up in this color wheel format, you're going to take a little bit of white, put it up at the top of your palette, and a little bit of black and put it down at the bottom of your palette. And now you have all of the colors set up and ready to go for whatever it is that you're painting. My name is Abbeth, and I just showed you how to do acrylic palette painting.
