Oh, hi! I'm Dan Reinecke with Unknown Media. Today, I'd like to talk to you about leading lines. Now, leading lines are a very strong compositional tool to direct your eye to a certain point of a photograph. Leading lines have been used in everything from photography to painting, to even architecture. What leading lines are are usually they're literal lines that will direct your eye to a certain point in a photograph. Now, for example, imagine a sunset down a long road. Now, you can line yourself up and position yourself so that the edges of the road and the lines going down the road will actually literally lead to the sunset. So, when you snap a picture to this, when you look at the picture, you will have these visible lines that will actually be leading your eye towards the sunset. They are very strong tool in directing the eye. And that is what a leading line is in photography. I'm Dan Reinecke, take your best shot.
